There are a couple different options for you to get your oils. Of course if you have any questions, I am always here to help! My recommendation is of course grabbing the option that is the best bang for your buck and the way I personally go started - The premium starter kit. Essential oils & how to use them
Essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts. They are extracted by resin tapping directly from a tree, cold pressing citrus rinds, and through the careful process of steam distillation of a plant’s root, stem, leaves, or flower petals. Because of how they’re extracted, the benefits found in essential oils are much more powerful and targeted than the plants they come from. Not only do they have unique scents, but they can also help support various systems of the body.
When I talk about essential oils, I am referring only to Young Living Essential Oils. Not all oils are created equal. In fact, some essential oils aren't good for you at all due to the synthetic fillers used in them. I only use essential oils from a company I can trust. A company that owns their own farms and partners only with farms that will adhere to their strict seed to seal policies. There are 3 main ways to use your oils: Aromatically, Topically and Internally.
Always read the label on each bottle for directions for use.
AROMATICALLY
Using your oils aromatically is one of the easiest ways for everyone in your home to take advantage of the healthy benefits of oils. And the way we use oils during Aroma Freedom Technique sessions. Diffusing can purify the air and neutralize odors as well as help with mood regulation. There are many ways you can use your oils aromatically. Add a drop of oil to your palm; rub clockwise with the other hand. Cup hands together over the nose and mouth and inhale deeply. You can also try applying a couple drops of essential oil to a cotton ball, a piece of fabric or clay necklace and inhale periodically. You can even add oils to a wash cloth and place in your shower for a mini spa retreat!
TOPICALLY
When you are applying oils topically, we suggest you use a carrier oil. This isn't always necessary, but it's best to start this way to ensure your skin isn't too sensitive. You may apply EOs anywhere to your body, except in your eyes or inside of your ears. Do not apply citrus oils to your skin when it will be exposed to the sun.
INTERNALLY
You may have noticed that some bottles have white labels as opposed to colored labels. The white labeled bottles are part of Young Living's Vitality Line. These oils are intended for dietary use. We drink oils to support immunity, flavor water or adult beverages, or even add to our cooking and baking! ALWAYS use glass or stainless steel containers when drinking your oils. Oils are incredible at pulling out toxins, so you don't want to be drinking plastic!
